Great Ocean Walk
In November I hiked the Great Ocean Walk from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles over 7 days. It was a wonderfully varied walk, quite manageable over the time given. I encountered lots of wildlife each day and was able to swim in either the ocean or rivers most days. Id recommend either the full walk if you have time, or small sections of the hike would also be great.
Over the long weekend in April I travelled to the Grampians National Park with a bunch of friends to walk on the new Peaks Trail. The trail will eventually lead from top to bottom, traversing the highest peaks in the park. Currently there is a three night section open to the public. The walk was a tad bit hot and crowded (because of the public holidays) but over all it was wonderful! The new campsite facilitates are some of the best/most thought out Ive come across in Australia. I look forward to walking the full 12 day hike when it’s complete.

Earlier this month I met a friend from Melbourne at a halfway point- the Grampians National Park. We camped for a few nights by this lake and experienced one of the most spectacularly engulfing sunsets.
