In early May I travelled to the blue mountains for the third year in a row to do some solo hiking in the beautiful forest area. This time I walked along the Six Foot Track, from the Jenolan Caves to Katoomba over three days. The weather was unusually warm and sunny; it was quite strange to see the landscape in such conditions, but nevertheless it was still a beautiful experience.

All photographs taken on 35mm Kodak film.

blue mountains

In early June I travelled over to Sydney to see some of the Head On Photo Festival and catch the end of the Sydney Biennial. Whilst there I traveled by train to the Blue Mountains and hiked from Victoria Falls (5km out of the town Mt Victoria) to Blackheath over three days and nights. Here are some images from this walk.

I am very fortunate to live in a beautiful house that has amazing windows everywhere that let in light all through the day. Last week there was particularly lovely spring light coming through my kitchen windows so I spent some time capturing it. These photographs were captured in my twin lens on 120 Black and White film which I developed myself.
